Friends,

My son has started Sub School this day. I am so proud of him. He sounds fine on the phone, and so confident.

If any one else has a son starting this week, maybe we could compare notes? I don't know ....

Well, Thank You to all who have a child serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Cordially, john in Georgia

Hey John in GA!!!
Congrats to your son...hope he loves sub school! My husband graduates this weekend and then should be going to sub school right afterwards. Although he is not my son, I would love to stay in contact & exchange notes as well! He's super excited about it and ready to create strong bonds with his fellow shipmates. It's a whole new world. Life under the sea! Wishing your son the best of luck!

Congratulations on your son! :) I wish him the best of luck!!

:P Well, no need for a few horny sailors getting their share. That wouldn't be good.

hi. my husband was a MT for 7 years and he absolutely loved it. he said sub school was very intense, but it was a great accomplishment. He was stationed on the USS Tennessee in Kings Bay, Georgia. He loved everything about it and i think your son will too. best of luck to him and all who serve our country.

Maranda,
Hey! Were you with your husband when he was stationed in Kings Bay, GA? I was wondering if both of you (or if you werent together, if he...)liked the station there. My husband and I are hoping for that base to be our first station after he graduates from sub school and A school. It's the closest base to our home now. And if we aren't able to live on base, what surrounding area would you recommend living? I've heard St. Mary's is nice area. We are a little ways off from him getting done but the end of the year will be here before we know it! Thanks for any input!
Carly:)
P.S. I'm glad to hear that your husband loved being on a sub. My husband has been in sub school for a month and like you said, it's intense but he's truly enjoying all he's learned and looks foward to his career!
