Just stopping by for muster. Been in or around the Navy my whole life and I love it just as much today as I did on day 1. Nice to see a forum like this for the families to get the information they need in order to start their son or daughter's career off on the right foot (or to just ease your mind since it can be like visiting another planet when you get to dealing with the whole bureaucracy). If I can be of any assistance with answers to questions, I will be more than happy to help.

Welcome,
and 'm sure us newbies will have lots of questions as time arises.
My son doesn't leave till July 07. So i'm hanging around early trying to take it all in and learn as much as I can before hand.
Tell us a little bit about your navy life, where you've been what you have done that your allowed to tell. etc. . .

Welcome,

I'm glad that you joined us! It is always nice to have someone with experience to help guide you. Yes, this military stuff sure can be a roller coaster ride for us left at home! My son is in Coronado, CA undergoing the SEALs BUD/s training. He is actually not training at the moment as he was rolled back from his class to the next class and is at this time waiting for the next class to reach second phase when he will class up with them. He is pretty bored out there right now. Going from such structure and so much to do in one day, to only having to muster each day and then the rest of the day is his! That is a big change, as I'm sure you can understand. He does take up alot of his day with PT on his own. So far he is keeping the motivated attitude he had when he started BUD/s, I just hope it continues and will carry him to class up.

Again, Welcome and I can't wait to hear about the things you are able to tell us!
