hey everyone just a few questions i have, I dont wanna get my hopes up that i will be able to join i really really want this more than anything .....

I went to Army boot camp in 04 i think and i was bad outta shape and instead of getting re cycled i got sent home to recover. from shin splints and my muscles in my back was over worked.. Ouch.... anyway on with my Question

1. How hard is it to get a RE code "3" changed, i did get a clean bill of health from my doctor.

2. Will i need to keep bugging my recruiter to get it done? He is doing a "red Flag" or something to see if i have any medical records from the Army...
Not sure i do cause i have all my records i think .. i have my separation papers n all my medical records i remembered seeing.

I just dont wanna get my hopes up that i can join and have to take the second and go back to the Army..

I have been laid off from work and going to college i have a grant from WIA that will pay for two yr degree but i only have 8 wks left of unemployment.. and jobs around here a scarce......

I also have court on the 17th because i was wrongfully acccused of reckless driving... i have a few witnesses and hope to get that threw out... (long Story).

Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated... thanks for your time..

Is it just a plain RE-3 or RE3-C/J. An RE-3 requires a waiver. Your recruiter should be able to get you in if motivated and if not, find another recruiter. If its just for being out of shape, I wouldn't see an issue. That is my totally googled opinion:)

yea its just a plain RE 3 nothing behind it .. yea just my back muscles was overworked severly and i could barley walk for a week or two that on top of shin splints.. just unfit was all it was.... i tried google but couldnt find alot of info.. i figured this was the best place for info other than recruiter.

I just looked on my DD 214 and my Seperation code was JFW --- JFW - Erroneous enlistment; Medical condition disqualifying for military service, with no medical waiver approved.

does this mean i am inelegible to reinlist?? i'm going to call my recuiter omg i worried now....

Erroneous enlistment ??? Sounds like they think you "forgot" to tell them something about your medical history when you joined ... and maybe admitted to it or "slipped up" and told them later on.

Pre-existing medical problems that they catch you with are very, very hard to get around. Have the recruiter look into it ... if it is bogus then fight it.

Thank you very much ...... yea it was just a slight case of muscle spasms that i slipped and told them about but i hope i have all the medical records i have either the originals or a copy... but nowhere does it say anything about a copy... it seems it maybe really hard to get into the navy.. may have to try back in the Army.. we'll see.. i grew up in the Military and sure hope i can live my dream ... thanks for your time..

Okay to clear up a few things my DD 214 doesnt say erroneous entry that was what i got from the meaning of the net.. my reason for seperation was " failure to meet procurement medical fitness standards"... sorry for any confusion....

Good luck on your waiver. Let us know what happens.
