hello all,
New to the site and just wanted to say hey. I have just gone through MEPS earlier in the week and got a hospital corpman job... couldn't go MA due to vision, but im not complaining because it seems to be really interesting and something I can get into. I also want to say that I love this site and will try to get my mom to join up just so she can cope and talk to a great community who know how she feels etc...

Hey there, congrats on snagging the HM rate! My name's Bell if you have any questions. I've been doing a ton of research on HM considering that's my rate as well. When do you ship? [I'm not leaving till May.]

I ship out May 9.

I need to do more research on it, but im already debating on volunteering to be embedded with the marines or seals. Not sure what I want to do, but know that it will be a great field.

I leave the 19th that month, so I'm sure we'll see eachother around, mostly in A-school since our dates are so close together.

I'm also thinking about going FMF [with the Marines]. It'd be fun and it gives me a lot more options of where I could be stationed. :]
