This past week has been beyond amazing for me. Monday I swore in and began my process with one day becoming a Sailor, then Firday and Saturday we had some huge storms [living in the desert and originially being from Florida, I dearly miss these phenumenons.]. It was insane Friday night, though, the winds were snapping tree branches off and throwing them across the street. The folks I'm cat/house-sitting for found a jacuzzi cover in their yard and I've seen trash cans on the side of our main avenue [where there aren't any houses for at least 50 yards. This kind of stuff NEVER happens here in AZ.

Anyway. To continue with all my joy, although my "boyfriend" couldn't come out to visit [no surprise there], one of my other friends came into town, so I've been able to see him a couple times. Then Saturday morning my dog had her puppies!! Six healthy, strong and very hungry little puppies! And my baby girl [their mother] is healthy too, making a fine mother!
Five of the pups are rare colors, so that makes them worth more which will be nice. Oh, but goodness, they're such darlings. I'm pleased to find that my grandmother might be taking the black and tan male. I highly dislike that color, but at 2 days old, he's got such personality! He was the last born, but he's the strongest and most dominent! [You can tell a pups' dominence by where it nurses on mom.] He actually burrows underneath all his siblings to get to the best spot on mom. I can't wait to see what he grows into! Maybe I'll talk my family into letting me keep and train him until I have to leave. :]

And other than that mother's seems to trust me more lately, which makes my life much less stressful. I've been dog and cat sitting for 2 different families, getting paid over $25 a day to just feed and let the animals out for a while, plus they've been feeding me for free! I couldn't ask for more.

Then Sunday nightt my friend and I took a midnight trip up north driving for an hour and a half in one direction just so I could see the stars. I've missed them so much and haven't seen them like that in over a year. My goodness, they were absolutley breath-taking. It was the perfect end to a wonderfully perfect week. I honestly just couldn't ask for more.

[Sorry it's so long! I'm just so excited, I can't contain it.]

Only thing we got in Panama City was some slight winds and some rain. I got out of mowing this weekend :)
